SUNNY DAY HURRAH!

Good evening,wasn't it a gorgeous day today?I had a wander round my flea market and got these lovely things............I may use the gingham to make some bunting for a baby that is on her way soon.Not sure how I got the photo on twice,but it's worth a second look hey?

PAYDAY YIPPEEEE!!

Good Morning just a quick post to show you the things I got on Sunday,4 Crown Derby posie mugs from Matlock Antiques(cost me more than this months gas bill!!!)and a GORGEOUS set of plates from the charity shop and my favourite cake plate that I've had for ages and I just LOVE it and it was used at the Birthday party on Sunday,have a good Tuesday,I'm off to the dentist before work for a check up.The moist painful part is paying!!

BIRTHDAY PARTY

Good evening as I said yesterday today is my middle daughters 25th birthday,it went very well, the cake turned out well on the second attempt,I opened the oven door too early on the first one and it sank really badly!!but the second one was fine.......

Good evening hasn't it been COLD today,just sitting by the fire covered in blankets trying to warm up,and looking over at my BEAUTIFUL Daffodils in the jug I got last week,they look so pretty I just had to share them with you.I'm off to make a Birthday cake for my middle daughter,she's 25 tomorrow,I can remember being 25!!Just procrastinating I don't want to go into the cold kitchen!I'm going to use Mary Berrys sponge recipe so if it turns out ok I will post a photo.

SUNNY SUNDAY!

Good afternoon,it's been a perfect day,GLORIOUS weather and my favourite thing to browse(and buy!!) at antique shops.I GOT IT!!The lovely yellow lustre jug that I saw last week and didn't get,then we popped over to Heanor Antiques and I got a DELIGHTFUL cake stand, a glass lemon squeezer,a floral teapot stand and two flowery saucers.We had lunch in the cafe then drove back to Chesterfield parked the car and popped up to Hubbys favourite coffee shop for a drink and a browse at the papers.Then home sweet home to photograph my finds,(whilst the Blackbirds were singing in the garden)Doesn't everything seem better when the sun shines?I've had a GREAT day hope you all have too.'bye for now Pam.

OH WHAT A BEAUTIFUL MORNING!!

Good morning wasn't it a BEAUTIFUL day on Saturday?I put out a post yesterday morning but had trouble with the photograph thing and didn't have time before work to solve it so I'll try again now.....On Thursday I had a lovely browse around my beloved flea market and got.........apretty roses trio £1.50,5 spode Christmas cups 50p each!(he told me he'd have the saucers next week,fingers crossed!!)a crinoline lady tablecloth £2.50,a tablecloth with little teapot pockets to put the napkins in,I also got a crinoline lady tablemat £1, a very cute deer plant holder £1 and from the R.S.P.C.A. charity shop a Spode Christmas mug £4 and a Partridge in a pear tree!!! (Not really though I wouldn't be at all suprised to see one on the market one day!!) I also got some GORGEOUS Daffodils from my favourite flower seller on the market.We had such fun girls you were all with me ,in my head!, and then we came back to my house and had tea and cakes, using all my gorgeous china!!(Wish that bit was true!!)Hope you all had a lovely Saturday and I sooo look forward to finding out what you got up to.Now I shall try to post a photo of my finds for your delectation..........

DROWNING IN CHINA!

Good Morning,just a very quick post to show you the little teaset I got on the flea market yesterday,even though hubby and I agreed I WAS NOT TO PURCHASE ANY MORE CHINA!!! I have posted a picture of my clutter room so you can see hubbys point of view(The poor dear is a minimalist!!!)The teaset was only £3 so it would have been a crime to leave it on the stall!Thankyou for your comments,it's good to know I'm not alone in my madness!!

gOOD MORNING,PLEASE DO EXCUSE ME WHILE i HAVE A QUICK RANT!!!!!!!!!!!!mY DEAR DAUGHTERS OPERATION WAS CANCELLED FOR THE 2ND TIME TODAY,SHE FILLED OUT ALL THE QUESTIONS HAD A WRIST BAND ON AND WAS MEASURED FOR THOSE GLAMOUROUS STOCKINGS,THEN THE SURGEON ARRIVED AND SAID AGAIN THERE WEREN'T ENOUGH BEDS SO WE GOT SENT HOME!!!!!!!!!!!So sorry ladies for that but I know you're all caring and wouldn't mind the odd stray from the frippery!!!Take care my dears speak again soon, Love to you allPamxxx

SUNDAYS COLLECTION!

Good afternoon,I had a fab time at Bolsover and Alfreton Antiques today.At Bolsover I got 6 Homes and Antiques magazines at £1 each,2 little pale green coffee cups £1 each,butterfly buttons £1,and a lovely green doiley 50p.Then across to Alfreton,on the way all traffic was stopped on the M1 for about 15 minutes due to an escaped scruffy little dog weaving his way among the traffic with a very determined look on his face,I saw him through the rear view mirror trotting down the slip road!!Anyway arrived a Alfreton and got a pink Avon perfume bottle from the 50p box outside and then in the middle room a whole LOAD of gorgeous linen and lace!!So with a rapidly beating heart I had a good rummage and got..tray cloth with Daffodils,a bundle of lace,a couple of floral tray cloths,2 pieces of floral cotton, a lovely gossamer like shelf runner and a beautiful lacy food cover(that's what I will use it for!)and a beautiful crinoline lady tray cloth.PHEW!!! Sounded like the conveyor belt on The Generation Game!!!Have put on a photograph for you to see.............

Now I am going to sit and read the magazines!Just wish I'd also bought the pretty yellow lustre vase for £5,I had it in my hand but put it back 'cos in my head I could hear hubby saying"You don't need another vase!"It would have looked so pretty on my Easter table(sigh!)MAYBE I'll go back and get it next week!!

WONKY ZIP NICE FACE!

Good afternoon,I TRIED to make 2 cushion covers today.The first was a "disaster darling" (Craig Revell Horwood's voice!)and the second has a wonky zip!!I also got red dye off the tea towel as I ironed it, so have to clean the darned iron too!!I WISH I was as clever as you lot,epecially you Mrs Custard!!IF I have retained ANY interest from you at all here are the photo's...........

Now I am off to have a large piece of cake and a cup of tea to cheer myself up (sigh!!!)
