SHOPPING,WASHING,SEWING,PAINTING!!

Good Evening my dears,I hope you've all had a good Saturday.I get one off in three from work so they are precious for shopping!Hubby took me over to Matlock and I had a BRILLIANT day browsing all the antique and charity shops. Here comes the Generation Game conveyor belt bit,I got curtains to cut up to make cushions,a darling pink teapot £2!!a couple of bobbins of orange cotton,2 cushions, and a very pretty lampshade. Then I found a FAB!! Aladdins cave vintage shop, with some really good prices, hubby waited in the car while I went in I think he was almost shopped out!! I got a lamp cum table for £32! I'd seen a similar one earlier for £98!!! a shabby tea trolley that was standing outside in the rain!£5,then my heart was beating VERY fast as I sorted through a box of 10pence china!!! I felt quite sure that the dear old lady behind the counter would easily find some smelling salts ,should I faint with delight, as the shop had everything else, yes even a kichen sink!! Anyway I got 6 pretty cups from one box and managed to find some matching saucers in another!I also got what I thought were a couple of single duvet covers that I thought I could make into some cushions, and they turned out to be a pair of sheets! when I got them home, only one pillow case though but, I had the jolly marvellous idea of cutting an old white pillowcase in half and did the same with the single pillowcase sewed them together and I was  puffed up like a pigeon (no Dove,I don't like pigeons!)with pride at the fact I had created 2 pillowcases from  one!Anyway that's rather a lot of words now here are the pictures................ P.s Got the pictures in a bit of a muddle, first one is my new duvet cover from BHS with china cakestands, teapots and cake etc,2nd one is some Lavender bags that I made, forgot to mention the scales I got for £15! with imperial AND metric weights,so my dears there are still bargains to be had if you are lucky!I am painting the lamp Laura Ashley duck egg blue I will post a picture when it is finished! Hope I didn't bore you to death with all my ramblings!! PPS,the last picture is showing a little dried flower picture that I bought from Charlotte from A Cottage In Totteridge blog.
