Hi, this is the 3rd time I am writing this, it keeps vanishing!!! As it was raining we went antiquing. Went to Matlock first and got a pansy trio£4,5 flower napkins £2.50,and a floral James Kent gravy boat£4. Next it was Alfreton, there I got 2 lovely crinoline lady tablecloths £8 and £4 atin of buttons £8[rather expensive on reflection!!]and a tin with Easter bunnies on for £3.When we arrived home I felt a strong urge to make something so I made a bag out of Cath Kidston fabric I will now try to send a photo of it [pause]

From Alfreton,a gorgeous crinoline lady tablecloth £8 and a slightly faded one for £4.a tin full of buttons £8[on reflection a little expensive.]and a tin with bunnies on, for my Easter collection and a glass hen egg holder small enough to hold mini eggs or a quail egg?!!So despite the rain I had a good day.When I  got home I felt a strong urge to make something, so I made a cloth bag out of Cath Kidston fabric, I shall now try to get the photo on here[pause]

antiquing again!!

A lovely Saturday,my hubby took me to Bolsover antiques, they have LOADS of stuff. Spent more than I  intended to,a basket for the herbs I intend to have outside the back door! a coronation jug and sugar bowl for if I have a jubilee teaparty! a large piece of gorgeous floral fabric for when I paint an old chair and reupholster the seat!!a LOVELY crinoline lady table cloth and crinoline lady trio for when I have afternoon tea on the kitchen table,and a beautiful crinoline lady hair brush and mirror set for when I get a dressing table small enough to fit in the space in my bedroom!!!The lovely hubby says we can go to Matlock antiques tomorrow, oh dear will I have enough cash for all the lovely things I'm bound to want to buy!!!OH I DO LOVE, LOVE ,LOVE, OLD THINGS!!!!![over use of lovely and love there, will have to dig out my thesarus it,s on the bookcase under the........!!! Pile of STUFF!!!]ttfn.

Rainy Thursday

Well not alot on the market today because of the rain!!!so I hit the charity shops instead,from Save The Children got 3 flowery Royal Albert cup and saucers £2 each! Then Oxfam a FABULOUS embroidered settee back and 2 chair back covers,they would make a lovely table cloth or 2 cushion covers.Also 4 skeins of embroidery thread in very pretty colours [20p each] and some beads to maybe make some covers for jugs or sugar bowls.I  am going to try to photograph these things.

DONE IT!!!!!! with a LOT of help from my  lovely daughter Holly,it's a rushed picture taken on the web cam but I am DELIGHTED with it.It,s rather late now so I'll snaffle a piece of cake from the kitchen then it's off to beddie byes for me TTFN.

Well the sun didn't shine on us today did it? My garden looks very fresh though so it's never all bad.Just been on the custards blog, LOVELY pictures to drool over!! Hope it's dry for tomorrow for my foray to the Thursday market!i have a real urge to do something creative but I'm lacking the energy so I bought the magazine Mollie Makes I think I'll have a read of that instead!!TTFN.
