Pretty Flowers(quite pleasing!)

Hi,today I got a gorgeous blue vase, with hints of pink in the lustre.It was £3 but I got it for £2.50,so quite pleasing.I went to my favourite flower seller on the market and got a gorgeous bunch of flowers.So I arranged them and felt quite pleased with the results.Here is a picture for you to say that Spring will soon be here.............P.S I also bought some lovely Cathesque tea towels from Primark which over the weekend(it's my Saturday off,hurrah!)I shall try to make a cushion from,wait and see!

Handmade Butterfly!

SUNSHINE AND GREEN GLASS!

Good afternoon,what a beautiful day it's been today,all the snow washed away and the sun came out!!Hubby drove me over to Matlock to go antiquing!Had a FAB.time and got quite a few lovely bits AND discovered 2 more shops,The Vintage Rooms FULL of gorgeous stuff,got 6 crinoline lady plates for £12 and a lovely old flowery tin for £6.Then on the way home called to the local hopice charity shop and got 5 pieces of green art deco glass for £16.Got a few other bits too so had a lovely time washing them and have posted a photo for you..............

PINK SUPRISE!

Good evening,I had a boring day at work and was so glad to return to my home with all my lovely stuff!My hyacynths are doing well I have a rouge pinky white one that smells divine.......

Also my Cath Kidston catalogue arrived in the post today and as it's payday on Friday I'm hoping the snow will be all gone so we can have a trip to see the Cath shop in Meadowhall and MAYBE I'll buy myself a treat for being brave and walking on the snow and ice in my snow grippers!'bye for now.

HURRY ALONG SPRING!

Good afternoon, I have had the day off work to take my daughter to hospital to have her operation that she has been waiting for since October but it was cancelled!! So I have come into blogland to find comfort. I was sitting with the laptop looking out of the window and admiring my Viburnam with its pretty pink flowers and lovely scent, the snow has almost gone and the sun is shining,Spring is not far away!!

A HINT OF SPRING IN JANUARY!!

Good evening,just got in from work and hurried to post a picture of a GORGEOUS firescreen that I got for £5 from the flea market.It has the base of one leg missing but the wool embroidery is beautiful and the gate looked to me like it was painted(it isn't!)Here's the picture for your perusal...........

WHILST THERE'S STILL TIME TO SPEAK OF BRUSSELS!!

Good afternoon all,it's my Saturday off work and I've had a lovely lazy day.Spent the morning in bed finishing my book supplied with tea by my lovely hubby.Then the afternoon floating around blogland looking at photos new and old.Just one final thought regarding Christmas brussels sprouts,is it just me that believes that horses sweat, men perspire and ladies glow and most certainly do not let their wind out when in the company of others,especially ones spouse? It is an odd subject I do agree but occasionally one needs to know on certain subjects, purely out of idle curiosity and Saturday afternoon post Christmas boredom!!
